Welcome to How Far Logistics (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our logistics and transportation services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with these terms.
 

1. Services Provided
 

How Far Logistics provides freight transportation, warehousing, supply chain management, last-mile delivery, and related logistics services across New York and the U.S. Services are subject to availability, regulations, and contractual agreements.
 

2. Customer Responsibilities
 

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate shipment details, including weight, dimensions, and contents.

  • Ensure proper packaging and labeling of goods.

  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

  • Pay all applicable charges and fees in accordance with the agreed terms.
     

3. Quotation & Payment Terms

  • Quotes are based on shipment details provided by the customer and are valid for a limited time.

  • Additional charges may apply for unexpected weight, re-routing, storage, fuel surcharges, waiting time, and special handling.

  • Payment is due as per the agreed contract terms. Late payments may incur interest and penalties.

  • We accept payments via credit card, wire transfer, ACH, and other approved methods.

4. Liability & Insurance

  • We take reasonable steps to ensure safe transportation, but we are not liable for losses due to acts of God, natural disasters, accidents, strikes, or third-party actions.

  • Standard liability is limited to $0.50 per pound per shipment unless additional insurance is purchased.

  • Customers are encouraged to insure high-value cargo separately.

5. Prohibited Items

The following items cannot be shipped through our services:

  • Hazardous materials (unless pre-approved and compliant with DOT regulations)

  • Firearms, explosives, or illegal substances

  • Perishable goods without proper packaging

  • Live animals (unless authorized)

  • Cash, jewelry, and high-value items without insurance coverage

6. Delivery & Delays

  • Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed and may vary due to weather, traffic, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • We are not responsible for delivery delays caused by factors outside our control.

  • Customers must report missing or damaged shipments within 24 hours of delivery.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted before dispatch to be eligible for a refund.

  • Shipments already in transit cannot be canceled but may be rerouted at an additional cost.

  • Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 7–10 business days.

8. Claims & Disputes

  • Claims for damaged or lost shipments must be filed within 30 days of delivery with supporting evidence.

  • How Far Logistics reserves the right to investigate all claims before issuing compensation.

  • Disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.

9. Indemnification

Customers agree to indemnify and hold How Far Logistics harmless from any claims, damages, or legal actions arising from non-compliance, incorrect shipment details, or unlawful activities.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York County.

11. Amendments & Updates

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services implies acceptance.
